Today is the day the first Gingerbread-powered smartphone starts shipping fellas. The Google Nexus S is already available for purchases in Best Buy brick-and-mortar locations and online store.
The 4-inch Contour display Android smartphone costs $529 off-contract in the US, while those willing to commit to T-Mobile US can get it for a penny under $200. In case you do go the online way and order through Best Buy's web site you also qualify for free shipping for your Google Nexus S.
If you are still wondering whether or not to get the Nexus S the retailer wants you to know that there will be a demo unit in each of its stores so you can try it in person before handing out the cash.
For those of you eager to get the handset on this side of the big pond Google reminds that Carphone Warehouse will start selling it in a few days - on the 20th December.
And just as the last time Google created a handset of their own, the Mountain View-based company has released a hilarious video of the unboxing of the device... by no other than our trusty ninjas. You can check it out by following this YouTube link.
