APPLE’S NEXT LAUNCH: INVITATIONS SENT OUT FOR MARCH 21 EVENT – HERE’S EVERYTHING WE KNOW

Apple’s next launch: Invitations sent out for March 21 event – here’s everything we know
Apple have officially sent out the invites for their March 21 event at which they will announce a number of new products, including the iPhone SE.
The event will be held at Apple’s Cupertino campus in California at 10am local time – so the event will be occurring at 5am in AEDT time, on March 22.
The iPhone SE is the most prominent new device expected to be revealed – ‘SE’ standing for ‘Special Edition’. It will look a lot like last generation’s iPhone 5s, with a 4-inch screen and a similar design.
However, all indications are that it will have a lot of features available in the iPhone 6 and 6s, including a more powerful processor, voice-activated Siri, Live Photos, and Apple Pay, though Force Touch seems not to have made the cut.

There have also been rumours that it will have the same fantastic 12 megapixel camera.
The phone will essentially serve as the equivalent of what the iPhone 5c was to the iPhone 5 and 5s, a smaller, presumably cheaper alternative that still boats many of the best features. It was originally expected to be called the iPhone 6c.
The other major release we’re expecting to be confirmed at the event is a new 9.7-inch iPad, essentially a smaller version of the iPad Pro.
Improved speakers, Apple Pencil functionality, and a connector for a keyboard accessory are all features we’re expecting to see on this new iPad.
It’s also rumoured that Apple may announce some new software feature for the Apple Watch.
Of course, it being an Apple event, you never know what surprises may have been well hidden from the public.
